But it made us wonder… How big of a problem is coffee pod waste, actually?
It turns out: In 2023, over 17B “K-Cup Compatible” pods were sold.. Enough to circle earth nearly 20 times!
So, we tried a “Reusable Pod”. Let’s just say, it wasn’t the best experience.
We had to share our idea. We launched a Kickstarter on Earth Day 2021, selling 4,000 units in 30 days.

What type of coffee could I use with savepod?
You can use ANY ground coffee your heart desires. That’s the beauty of savepod! Almost all pre-ground coffee will work well, medium – medium/fine grind size works best

Great quality and easy to use
We have had this for a little over a week. So far we love it. Itâs so easy to use and our coffee taste amazing. I highly recommend it. Plus weâre saving money in the long run no more kcups.

Chintzy, ineffective product
The SavePod device comes with three different âringsâ that hold the disposable filter, ostensibly to accommodate different coffee brewing machines (although the instructions provide no guidance on which rings go with which machines). None of them fits the Keurig K-Supreme Plus. When brewing with this device, hot coffee dribbles out of the filter, splashing the countertop and making a mess that obviates any perceived advantage over the reusable pod that comes with the K-Supreme Plus brewer.The construction of this device is cheap and not worth the price. I would estimate that the total cost of this item is probably between 2 and 3 dollars, and its quality reflects it.I canât return this thing fast enough.

MUST HAVE for all Keurig Users!!!
For anyone who has a Keurig you will LOVE this product!! This is the 2nd one Iâm ordering so I have one for my house and one for my office.I used to use the refillable k cups but they were so annoying to clean and would get kind of gross after a few weeks.These are the things I love about Savepod:1. Effortless cleanup. After brewing you open the ring and the paper filter and used coffee grounds pop right out.2. I donât feel guilty about the waste like I did with K-Cups. The waste here is 100% compostable3. The podmaker holds everything I need to make a pod very elegantly next to my brewer. My ground coffee in an airtight drawer, a stack of 50 filters, the reusable rings, and a super nice stainless steel scooper made just for savepods.4. I get a clean and sanitary fresh filter each brew and I know itâs not passing through a reusable metal mesh filter.5. The coffee tastes SO GOOD. It doesnât taste like âkeurigâ coffee but like proper drip coffee.I highly recommend savepod and will be gifting it to all the coffee drinkers in my life this holiday season!!

Great product – slow to ship
I would have given 5 stars, but the 2 months that I waited to receive it was a negative. With that being said, the device is awesome! It has made me feel better about my wife using a “Pod” coffee machine. We now know what is inside the “pod”, and there are so many more options of getting the coffee that we want. It is easy to use, easy to clean and has a small footprint – so it fits on the coffee bar without having to remove something else.

The concept is incredible, the functionality is terrible
This looks like it would be amazing for single cup coffee without needing to use pods all the time. Fresh ground coffee canât be beat. Then you go to use this and realize all the flaws.1- it fits most single cup makers, including the one I have, yet you feel like your about to break the coffee maker just trying to get it to close.2- good luck making coffee without filing the cup with all the grounds. Out of 10 cups made, only 1 didnât not have a ripped filter with a cup full of coffee grounds.3- tried to double up the filter thinking that would work but then the coffee maker wonât close.The concept is great and would get it again, but only when they fix these flaws and come out with a 2nd version. Will be returning.

The product is wonderful and works well. My only very small complaint is that the shipping way too long, but was delivered in the time range they said it would be. So very small complaint.

I want to give it 5 stars, however, they left out 1 important piece of information. When you unbox and set it up there is a card inside telling you to brew a “Maximum” of 8 oz’s. Had I known this I would not have purchased this product. My commercial Keurig has a 12 oz option that I can no longer use if I use the savepod unless I brew twice. That really takes the convenience out of this device.****UPDATE****This thing leaks all over the place and makes such a mess. I tried several times to get it to work and it will not. It is like Niagara Falls every time I brew a cup of coffee. It is being returned.
