Product Description
KIYOSHI Luxury – 7 pieces Tea Set – Sand Color Butterfly

Handmade Tradition-Dipped Kiyoshi Luxury
Like all drinkers of fine, special and ceremonial teas, everything matters. From the teapot itself, its curves, looks, and life’s purpose of keeping hot tea hot, to the shape of the teacup, how it feels cupped in your hand and the satisfaction of a drinking edge that feels just right. Everything matters to the tea you carefully chose.
And so, when Kiyoshi started hand making this quality of teapot we went straight to the 300 year old home of all Japanese teapots. And there, our team of artisans individually molded, hand-painted and glaze-dipped a range of exquisite tea sets – The Color Trend Collection.
… It’s tradition-dipped luxury for those who ‘know’ tea.

Sand Color Butterfly – Sand Color and Gold Beauty

How to maintain your teapot
Before your first use
Wash the teapot and filter with clean water.
Dry the teapot with a towel.
Fill the teapot with clean water up to 70% of its capacity, then boil it for 5-10 minutes. Pour out the water and repeat the process two or three times.
Use instructions – Maintenance
Boiling water: After boiling water, pour it out and let the teapot dry naturally with the lid open. If the water is cold, pour it out and dry the teapot with a towel.
Making tea: Pour out all tea and rinse the teapot with clean water. Dry the teapot with a towel.
Notes Don’t boil the teapot without water, and don’t overfill it. Don’t let water or tea stay in the teapot for a long time. Keep the teapot dry when not in use. Wash the teapot with clean water only, and don’t use detergent or a dishwasher. Be careful when pouring water, and use a towel to prevent the lid from falling off.

Need More Cups?
In Japanese Tradition, gifts in sets of 4 are bad luck. So instead of 4 small 2oz cups, we give you two 4oz cups with your tea set. And if you need more, find them here by searching Kiyoshi Luxury. Just don’t gift all 4, deal?

A Gift For A Chosen Few
A tea set like this isn’t commonplace, so don’t just buy it for any old tea bag drinker. Kiyoshi tea sets are only for those who know and respect the traditions of tea and appreciate craftsmanship with 300 years of history.

Special Tea, Every Day
We want you to use your set every day. We created it for those who adore the stillness of ceremony, those who love to journal or meditate with a special tea in the morning, and of course, those who simply adore great tea.

Available in different Colors
If you’re looking for something a step above “just a cuppa” or can’t bring yourself to gift loved ones a bad-luck set with 4 cups, visit the rest of our Color Trend Collection for tradition-dipped luxury.

HANDMADE KIYOSHI – Perhaps it’s the unique shapes, prints, and 2-Tone Colors we use for each Tetsubin that makes them the preferred Japanese tea pots for things like Corporate, Anniversaries, Weddings, or Engagement Gifts. Or maybe it’s because we treat tradition with esteem, (2 cups instead of 4 which is bad luck). Either way, Kiyoshi Luxury is only for those who “know” and honor special tea.
THE SAND COLOR BUTTERFLY – Kiyoshi Luxury Tea Sets come in different designs, each one individually molded, and hand-painted in a labor-intensive two color process. It produces the most stunning finish you’ve seen on any similar pot. They’re not a cheap Japanese teapot, which is great news for anyone frustrated with mass-produced clones. This design is The Blue Butterfly, symbolizing love and happy relationships
WHAT’S IN THE SET? Contains one solid cast iron teapot weighing 3.2lbs and holds 25.36oz of your best quality Japanese Green Tea or brew of choice. 2 teacups with printed flower design and matching trivet, shaped saucers and stainless steel tea infuser. Rust-Proof enamel inside, with a hand painted and glazed exterior, which makes this “tetsubin”, a tetsu kyusu! Made for brewing tea but not for boiling.
SO EASY TO USE : This teapot is very practical for boiling water, making tea or even coffee. It works perfectly with electric stove, induction stove, electric stove, ceramic stove, halogen stove and even wood stove (great for camping). For boiling water, we suggest to not load more than 70% of the teapot otherwise hot water will overflow. Reminder : avoid heating without water. Instructions provided inside the box.
FOR SPECIAL TEA – You may know that Iron is the traditional element for 6th Anniversary Gifts for Men or Women, and special tea sets are adored by those who respect the stillness of ceremony. So if you’re looking for something a step above “just a cuppa” or can’t bring yourself to gift loved ones a bad-luck set with 4-cups, check out The Kiyoshi Color Trend Collection and choose now the right color for you.
Customers say
Customers find the teapot beautifully crafted with detailed design and appreciate its heavy-duty construction and good weight. They consider it a nice gift and worth the price, with one customer noting they love Japanese green tea. The tea temperature aspect receives mixed feedback – while some say it keeps tea very hot, others report it doesn’t maintain heat well. The cast iron aspect also gets mixed reviews, with customers noting it’s made in China and not authentic Japanese.

Halie –
Nice weight. Great design.
Very cute teapot and cups (with cup plates) for the price. Itâs nice and heavy and I like the worn iron look. Also came with a plate to hold the teapot itself to protect whatever youâre setting it on.

Great tea set
We use this tea set every weekend! So far, itâs durable and it performs well. The size is great for 2 persons. I love the way it looks and itâs not too heavy but it has a good feel to it!

The shape seems a bit disproportionate
The pot is lovely and well made, but the photos don’t show how shallow and how wide it is. It holds the amount of liquid that we were looking for, but it is awkwardly squatty. If I had known the measurements (I see the ones for the box but not for the teapot), I would not have purchased it. As it was a gift, I didn’t return it.

Great Product!
This is a great product. Made from cast iron as it has some weight to it. Beautifully crafted. The pot keeps the tea hot/warm for a few hours. The defused fits the pot very well and leaves less that 1/2â to the bottom of the pot, so your tea continues to brew while you are drinking it! I have only had it 1 day and I am already suggesting this product to my friends!Only thing to keep in mind. These are CAST IRON. So they do get warm/hot to the touch. Use care when using freshly boiled water as this causes the tea pot and the cups to get warm/hot.

Beautiful tetsubin and unique design!
I have truly enjoyed having this tetsubin. The ceramic coating makes it easy to clean and rust is not an issue inside the pot. There’s no need to scrub the outside, just rinse with hot water and allow it to dry. Some things to consider before purchase:1) I experienced a little bit of rust on the bottom of one leaf coaster for the cup, but it cleaned up easily with a little mineral oil. (That’s to be expected with any exposed iron left to dry on a drying mat.) The bottom of the leaves are the only exposed iron of the whole set.2) The item arrived with a small imperfection on the lid where black ceramic glaze had touched and small imperfections where the gold rims were not consistent along the edge of cups. I have enough experience with pottery to know how challenging it can be to dip cups into glaze without coating the outside of cups before sending to the kiln. For me, this is a testament that the set has been hand painted and dipped rather than machine dipped.3) The teapot and cups are hot to the touch when in use; the teapot keeps the tea hot and somehow the tea cools quickly for consumption once poured into the cups.4) The tetsubin cannot be boiled directly on the stove because it is glazed. Those who want to drink rust for iron deficiency should find an unglazed tetsubin.5) The tetsubin is handmade in China, not Japan. This doesn’t bother me in the least, but some people are tetsubin snobs lol.Overall, I love having this tetsubin. It is unique and the human imperfections add to its charm. It is beautiful. You will have to order the other two cups separately. FYI Giving gifts of 4 (i.e. 4 cups) is a huge faux pas to Japanese friends/coworkers/clients. Fair warning.

The KIYOSHI Luxury Teapot is beautiful and giftable
This teapot is beautiful to display and a pleasure to use. I gave it to my granddaughter for her 13th birthday. She displays it on the shelf over her desk and uses it often. I also got her an assortment of loose tea so she could experience brewing different flavors.

If you’re on the fence about buying this, and going through the reviews, hoping to talk yourself into it, then look no further! The quality is excellent, the paintwork and colour is beautiful, and it could probably double as a blunt force weapon if someone dares interrupt you tea hour.I would definitely suggest getting a matching cast iron warmer for it though, as I personally like to take my time, and despite it being thick metal, doesn’t really keep the tea hot any longer than any other teapot. It needs a source of warmth underneath. I’d also use at least 2 candles underneath though. One doesn’t seem to be enough.I have a glass teapot too, and I have even taken to using two underneath it to keep it hot enough. If Amazon suggests to you to buy one…get the damn warmer, lol! I promise, you’ll be glad you did!Be sure to have somewhere nice to display it though, when not in use. It would be a crime to simply put it in a cupboard! It’s a work of art! It needs to be seen!

They say this pot can be placed on a stove top but in the booklet with the product it clearly says this is not recommended because of enamel coming off…
