A burnt taste – not good
Since Groundwork is local to the South Bay, I thought I would give them a try, and help out a local business. I bought a 2 lb bag of the Black Magic, and small bag of the Big Shot. As soon as I got it, I made a double-cup espresso. The coffee tasted burnt. There’s not much of the natural “crema”. Both flavor and smell are not good. My wife and I did not like its taste. I’ll try the Big Shot next. I had such high hope for them based on what they said on their website. Needless to say, I don’t think I will buy Groundwork coffee again. I’ll find another local roaster to try.
