It is attractive and does what it is supposed to do. However, there is a slight gap between the bottom and the vertical riser that contains knives, forks, spoons, etc. The gap is big enough to allow the blades of butter knives to slip through it, making it hard to get them out, and risks bending the blade. The remedy is to put the handle of the knives against the vertical riser.
