Stylish looking armrest tray keeps your drink and small items with easy reach
This is an excellent wooden tray for the arm of an easy chair or sofa. The slats on either side make it conform to whatever you put it on so it can accommodate many contours or sizes of chair/sofa arms. For my own easy chair, it fits really well and feels stable so I can pop a water bottle or coffee cup or remote control on it or some of my crochet hooks and yarn which I like to keep next to my chair for easy access. It would also be great for a little snack bowl while you’re watching TV. The wood is quite thick and that’s my only little complaint — when you sit in your chair with this on the arm, depending on your body type or how you like to sit, you can feel the end of the tray slats against your body which feels a bit uncomfy since it’s hard wood. I’m trying to adjust its placement to avoid this but it could just be that I’m more sensitive to feeling it than others might be. It hangs down quite a bit on both sides but that’s necessary for stability. The quality is great and it’s very useful and handy to have your snacks and drink or other things within arm’s reach. I’m still giving it five stars because it does just what it says it will do, it looks really nice, it fits the arms of my chair, the quality is really good, and it’s quite stable. Your mileage may vary when sitting in the chair depending on your body type/size and how you like to sit in your chair and whether having the wood hanging down will even be noticed or not.

Could be a good couch addition but priced too high
This is a good couch accessory to organize a drink and other items on the couch arm when there’s no end table available. This is not poorly made but fit-and-finish screams jigged together quickly without concern for the quality control befitting the price. The exposed edges are not well sanded and present distinct saw or laser kerfs. For the price, I would expect much better.It demands a couch with a square arm 3″ wide or greater, or a rounded arm that has more than 4″ of contact with the base to get good stability. We tried it on a couch with a more narrow arm, then added different heights of beverage containers to see how top heavy we could get. Even a short coffee cup on the narrow arm was perilously unstable, especially when adding motion of getting up or sitting down. On a wider arm, like the puffy arms of the leather couch and recliner, the tray was stable even with full tall drinking glasses.It came out of the box reeking of stain solvent. Letting it air out for a bit helped a lot to the point where it smells like nothing more than freshly stained wood. I got the mahogany colored tray, which looks more mahogany painted than stained.The most disappointing thing about this tray, though, is the price. Leaving Amazon, I can find similar trays for 2/3 or less the price. My perceived quality of this tray is less than 1/2 the price (list $34 at time of review).I can recommend this tray and will use it, but recommend more strongly looking around for better finish at this price or a similar item much cheaper.

EXACTLY what I was looking for!
This is exactly what I needed but didn’t know what I was looking for!Our living room is awkward, and we can only put an end table on one end of the sofa. This causes me to always sit on the one side unless I want to keep getting up and down to reach my beverage. I’ve tried several different “C” shaped tables but all of them don’t clear the underside of our new sofa, which sits very close to the ground.Imagine my delight when I discovered this handy little arm tray table! It works exactly as specified, holding tight to your sofa arm and fitting a multitude of mug and remote sizes. There is no wobbling or sliding. It definitely hugs tight.Now I can “wear” each side of my new sofa evenly and not show preference to one side over the other. This is the ideal addition.
