Nice Looking with a Snug Cover
I ordered the sample set to play around with my spices and decide what is going to work best for me. The spice jars are aesthetically pleasing, and a great way to organize your spices. If you are like me, you have so, so many herbs and spices to organize. The tricky part with ordering spice jars is that the capacity measurement in ounces does not account for volume differences. As expected, I found that the 10 oz. jar perfectly accommodated a six-ounce bag of Hungarian paprika, and the 8-ounce fit 4-ounces of Ancho Chili powder with a little room to spare, but seeds and pods and loose herbs needed more experimentation. The jars are made of borosilicate glass, which is stronger and more durable than regular glass, but they can crack or shatter if dropped, so I do handle them with care. I am pretty confident that these bottles will do fine in my kitchen because I have used their 20- ounce set of glass canisters for a couple of years without any incident. (I use those for larger quantities of seeds and pods.) I think the seal on these jars is pretty good, and if you keep your spices in a cabinet away from light, I think your spices should keep very well. I have had good results with the 20-ounce jars which have a similar seal on the lid. Overall, I am happy with my purchase and ordered a set of 8-ounce jars.

Great for sugar rocks and tea herbs
I was sick of having plastic baggies all over for sugar rocks and various tea herbs, so I got these as a first attempt to organize and I’m super happy. They stay closed, they hold a much as I need, they look really nice, and I like that I can see the stuff inside easily.
