I love my BonJour French Press!
After living in Europe for nearly 12 years, I learned to enjoy stronger coffee. It has been several years since owning another French press & I was tired of the US coffee makers. I purchased my F.P. This replaces another French press from this company that I had for 15 years before it was broken accidentally by one of my kids. This one is a bit smaller, but does a great job at making coffee and keeping it warm for a couple hours.

First one arrived damaged, Amazon immediately sent a new one while waiting for damaged one to return. We are very pleased with this French press. It makes enough for my hubby and I to have 2 (not quite full) cups of coffee. It’s easy to use and clean. It seems pretty solid, love the all the stainless steel and looks super sleek and modern on our counter top.In case you are wondering: yes, there is plastic underneath the stainless lid. I was trying to find one without any plastic at all (next to impossible) and I couldn’t tell from the pictures or feedback if it had any plastic. Well, at least now I can let other viewers know it does. Although it does have a neat little steal filter the coffee touches before it’s poured, which is also stainless. This will get rid of any extra coffee grounds.

I absolutely love this French Press!
I got this for my boyfriend as a birthday gift. He uses it almost every day (and sometimes multiple times a day). I won’t lie, I’m not really a coffee person, but i LOVE the coffee from this french press. It tastes amazing (it probably helps that we order Stumptown coffee beans). 😉 But I love it.Something nice about this one is that you can even take the carafe out to wash in the dishwasher. That way you aren’t getting the metal parts all wet that suround the carafe–meaning you aren’t trapping water between the two (something that could cause rust or yucky water getting stagnant on your french press). However, it took a couple weeks for it to loosen up enough for us to remove it. I don’t know if use just loosened it a little bit, but we can take it out now. Everything works perfectly, and it has two strainers: one one the plunger (that has a “close” option so you can separate the coffee beans from the already steeped coffee and therefore not over-steep them) and one at the top where the spout is. There is one thing I didn’t realize when I bought it, the piece right under the lid that acts as the second strainer isn’t a sterling silver part–it’s plastic. But the hot water only comes in contact with it while you pour, so i’m not disappointed at all.I would DEFINITELY recommend this French Press. Besides the coffee tasting amazing and the whole unit working wonderfully, it’s also the perfect size for us. You can fit a little over 32 oz, which is perfect for us in the morning, we can fill our coffee mugs and go–no left over coffee & no one to wait around to make a second batch.

worked well for a few months. bottom rivet broke off after a handful of uses. dealt with it for a couple months, but now the glass has hairline fractures and had to throw it away. never saw the dishwasher… always hand-washed it. it was nice for a while, looks great, but won’t last.

OK, we LOVE this french press. It’s sturdy, with all metal parts (except the inside of the large top, which keeps heat in), including the long nut that holds the screen on its shaft, which in some coffee presses is plastic and has failed on me, leading to disastrous spills and insecurity when pressing the screen down. Not only is the assembly strong, it also presses down easily, the fine screen keeping coffee grounds out. I really don’t know why other presses can be so difficult to push down, but I have done nothing different with this one, which works like a dream — despite the fact that I grind my beans quite fine, more than instructed, in order to get every last drop of flavor out of them.We loved this press so much that my fiancee and I bought a second one as back up. I am a heat freak, requiring my coffee to start and stay very, very hot. This press has an extension of the plastic lining of the top that you can swivel to prevent heat loss through the spout area. The pot is easy to clean and the carafe does not slip out of its metal casing when unknowing friends try to make coffee on camping trips and pitch the carafe out with the grounds, shattering it on the rocks. That would not happen with this press!

Nice looking, but difficult to clean.
This is a very attractive press, however to clean you must unscrew all the layers of screen and metal at the bottom. The ‘blocking’ feature in my opinion is not needed. It makes cleanup a pain. I’d prefer to be able to spray out the grounds after each use instead of completely taking it apart.

Absolutely perfect! I ordered the blue version and haven’t had an issue at all with peeling or colour wearing off so far. Makes about 2 1/2 mugs full (in my opinion, but maybe my mugs are large)
