Hot for 6 hours, no leaks
I boiled some water in my kettle at 11pm last night. I poured it into this TKK 15oz Coffee Thermos and let my tea steep for about 10 minutes. I pulled the bag out and it was still burning hot. I left it uncovered until about 12am when I decided it wouldn’t be cool enough to drink that night. I woke up at 7:30am and it was warm, but not hot. The box says that this thermos can keep 450ml of water at or above 40 degrees celcius for 6 hours. I’d say that’s about right. TKK should be careful, as one of their product images references 7 hours, not 6 at the time of this review.A previous reviewer mentioned steeping tea in the top. I think that compartment is simply for slowing and filtering your drink before it gets to your mouth, keeping you from burning yourself. But I could be wrong. The box did not label it as a steeper.I took my warm, filled thermos with me in my bag today and didn’t experience any leaks. I also shook it a little and held it upside down while it was still near boiling and it didn’t leak either. That was impressive. I have had too many hot thermoses leak on me, so I’m hoping this one lasts a long time. For $26.99 the price is a bit high, but it seems to be of good quality. I hope it lasts.

Updated to 3 stars:After almost a month of use, the metallic mesh inside of the lid is rusted [see picture]. Also, I can’t open it to clean it.Tactile feelings when you hold it, satisfaction from pushing the button while the lid is open – it is an amazing product! And a mesh! There is a mesh that I use for loose-leaf tea – it will still let rooibos or small particles of tea come through but it’s good if you have high-quality loose-leaf tea.

I like this mug a lot and I’m picky with mugs.This thing keep coffee hot for a loooong time when lid is on.Survives the dishwasher just fine. Silicone components can stain when in contact with things like tomato sauce.
