What problem are we solving?

Not all matcha is equal. It is tough to separate good matcha from the overpriced and mediocre. We work hard to offer the best quality product at each price point.

Why do we love what we do?

For something so simple, matcha can have a huge range of flavors ranging from sweet, nutty to savory and complex. Depending on the available tea leaves and growing techniques, there are so many possibilities!

How did we get our start?

We started with just 1 type of matcha. We now work direct with a network of tea growers and manufacturers in Japan, offering 7 kinds of matcha.

    Smooth Sips
The sleek design and sturdy handle make it a joy to use, adding a touch of elegance to my matcha preparation ritual. But what truly sets this matcha sifter apart is its ability to eliminate clumps effortlessly. With just a few simple shakes, it breaks down even the toughest clumps, ensuring a consistently smooth and velvety texture in my matcha powder. Gone are the days of frustrating lumps ruining my tea-drinking experience!I also appreciate the versatility of this set. While it’s perfect for sifting matcha powder for traditional tea ceremonies, it’s equally effective for preparing matcha lattes, smoothies, and other culinary delights. Whether I’m whisking up a frothy latte or baking matcha-infused treats, this sifter ensures that my creations are always silky-smooth and delicious.Another standout feature is the generous size of the sifter. It can accommodate a large quantity of matcha powder, making it ideal for entertaining guests or preparing multiple servings at once. Plus, the compact design makes it easy to store in my kitchen cabinet when not in use.Overall, I couldn’t be happier with the Naoki Matcha Large Stainless Steel Matcha Tea Sifter with Handle Matcha Set. It’s a game-changer for anyone who appreciates the art of matcha-making and desires a consistently perfect cup every time. If you’re a matcha lover like me, do yourself a favor and invest in this exceptional sifter set—you won’t be disappointed!

Feels a little rougher than some others when sifting matcha, but works well.
I have matcha a few times a week; at home I have a traditional matcha set, and at work I use an electric whisk as a shortcut (and for less teasing.)I have a matcha sifter that I have been using, but I always have to bring it home from work for the weekend and then remember to bring it back to work on Monday. So when this came available I got it so I’d have one for each location. The Naoki sifter has a more bumpy surface, as the two wires are thicker and move up and down more as they wind across each other; the picture comparing it to my other one shows what I mean. I worried that it would be harder to get the last bits of matcha through, and wondered if the (very) slightly bigger openings would mean some lumps in the matcha. But although it did feel bumpier and the last bits needed a bit more time to pass through, it wasn’t a significant problem and the final matcha was lump-free and perfect. So, although it feels a bit different than my other one, it works perfectly well and I’m happy to be using it!(Why a scale? Because I like to make a consistent matcha of 2.0g powder and 60g 176°F water, then just enough extra hot water to rinse the bottom of the bowl into the cup.)

Great little filter for tinctures, herbalists rejoice
I ordered this for several reasons. My husband enjoys the OCCASIONAL matcha (I think the concept of it appeals to him far more than the reality, TBH). I drink a lot of tea and was enticed by the “on the cup” aspect of this little strainer. Also I am an herbalist and enjoy creating tinctures and such. This last part is the reason for the majority of my excitement for this little strainer because now I can pour jar to jar instead of using one of my larger strainers into a measuring cup then pour into another jar.The handle is welded nicely to the strainer. The mesh of the strainer is very fine and I am super excited to not have to resort to using a coffee filter all the time to get those fine particulates out of my concoctions.Next time my husband has Matcha on the mind I will use this sifter to create the drink for him. I am very excited about the open possibilities for this strainer, this is the kind of kitchen tool that makes me very happy to improve ease of creation!! Well worth the cost for the value, quality and usability factor.

    Great at first but…
I got this sifter in August for my partner’s daily matcha. It’s been great for the past months but a couple of days ago, the the little metal holder on it (opposite the handle) broke off. Mind you, he never applies too much pressure (just normal for matcha making) and it’s been really hard to use it since because of it.

Works well for strainer for mixed drinks
I haven’t used this for matcha, but I recently got into making more mixed cocktails, and often follow recipes i see from online influencers. This helps a lot with straining drinks that have ingredients with pulp and such, making a much smoother, more photo pleasing appearance.

    Strainer
I bought this small strainer for an alternative purpose (not matcha). I make a lot of oil infusions using herbs and plant products. I add the herbs to oils and let them sit in a sunny spot for a couple of weeks, shake them up frequently and then they are ready to go when I need them for a project. I was in need of a small, fine strainer and I came across this one and thought it might work. It is perfect. I can pour the oil through the strainer as needed and it’s fine enough that it captures most of the small plant particulates. I love it and it’s easy to clean, I just run it through the dishwasher. The straining surface is about 3″ in diameter so it’s nice and compact and it’s exactly what I was looking for.

    Sized just right!
This strainer is sized just right to set on top of a mug. It is well-balanced so you do not have to worry about the strainer tipping over or falling off during use. Since it is dishwasher safe, it is very easy to clean. Just pop it in and give it a wash! The mesh is fine enough that it stains well on grounds that are not too fine.
