Slightly bigger than Bodum
It did NOT fit in my Bodum Plastic base and handle because it has a slightly bigger diameter than the Bodum at the base, however I just heated the plastic to make it soft, and squeezed this replacement in while the plastic was malleable.Now I have a super tight fit so it won’t slide out and break like the original.GREAT Price!!! So, I bought 2.They just arrived, and I haven’t used them yet, but I can’t imagine any issues with the glass. It is high quality, strong, thick, borosilicate glass.The original filter screen of my French press DID fit on the inside exactly the way it should. I am very happy with my purchase.

Fine carafe, but does not fit every 34oz French press
I wanted to make sure other buyers are aware that not all 34oz French press carafes are the same size, and to make sure to measure the height of your existing press before buying a replacement. I had a Mueller Soho french press I bought on Amazon, and bought this to replace the broken carafe. The capacity on this one is the same, but it’s considerably taller and narrower. This means it easily slides out of the holder, and the press doesn’t reach the bottom of the carafe, leaving about half a cup of fluid in the bottom with the grounds.I’m not going to give it a bad rating as it’s not the manufacturers fault I assumed all 34oz carafes were the same shape.

Glad I bought it
I had one of these before but when it broke I bought a plastic one. However the plastic developed cracks and leaked. After a long hesitation I decided to buy another glass replacement beaker and I am glad I did. It won’t crack and waste cups of coffee through leaks. so the upside is I use less coffee and save on coffee which over the long term could be quite a bit. I just have to be careful not to break it. If you are like me and putting up with one of those plastic beakers I recommend you get this beaker. It insets into the holder perfectly if you follow the video for correct insertion which recommends heating the holder. This softens the plastic and allows for the glass beaker to fit down into the holder easily. I recommend it it came perfectly packed and in good condition. The only problem is the pouring spout. It doesn’t pour too well maybe not its not formed right I don’t know however, I found if you pour slowly it works just fine, no spills. Just don’t be in a hurry when you are pouring your coffee this all.

WARNING! This beaker will NOT FIT BODUM!
I added hot water to the pot this morning when making my coffee – I walked back into the room and there was coffee and glass all over the counter! The beaker had SHATTERED! Had I placed this pot on the breakfast table with our children it could have posed a very real danger!When I placed the replacement beaker into the Bodum frame I noticed two things, first that the beaker flares at the top, so the lid must be held in place when pressing and pouring, second it fits a little snugly into the frame – it fits, but felt a little tighter than the beaker it replaced. It seems that this beaker has a much greater expansion due to heat – something that it should be designed to handle, and that is likely why it shattered? It is either poorly designed or faulty in it’s quality, because the thing was BRAND NEW and exploded in it’s first use!I STRONGLY recommend you spend the few dollars more to get the Bodum brand beaker – this was a dangerous waste of money for me. I am just thankful that the experience only resulted in a huge mess and wasted time and money, and that no one was hurt.ATTENTION AMAZON: It should be clearly stated that this replacement beaker WILL NOT FIT BODUM French press pots! As this is one of the most popular brands of this type of coffee maker. This product poses a very real danger if used in a Body frame!

Buscaba un repuesto para el vaso de mi prensa francesa marca Bodum que recién se había roto. Deseaba comprar el original pero al buscarlo me di cuenta que era más caro el repuesto de la jarra por separado que comprar una prensa nueva de la marca… Preferí buscar una jarra alternativa ya que el cuerpo de mi prensa es de acero y aún esta en perfecto estado. Esta jarra tenía buenas reseñas y estoy muy contenta con el producto. Es de muy buena calidad, el vidrio templado es grueso, y tiene marcas de medida lo cual me agrada mucho para hacer diferentes cantidades de café. Es del tamaño compatible con la cafetera de acero su tapa y rejilla. La mejor alternativa para repuesto de una jarra de estas características.
