As good as expected
Thermos makes great water or drink cups. To be fair, this is quite heavy when full, so if you have hand issues, just be aware. Fits good in a cupholder and the drinks stay reliably cold for a long time.

Same great quality youâve come to expect from Thermos
For years Iâve been perpetually searching for the perfect âwater bottleâ tumbler for both hot and cold drinks. There always seems to be something I eventually donât like about each one. The Yeti I have has been the winner until now. I will say I havenât fallen victim to the Stanley cup trend. I tend to prefer understated items that arenât necessarily seen as a âstatus symbolâ, and donât really care about âlimited editionâ colors or designs. I purchased the Yeti after having numerous âno nameâ tumblers break, crack, have unreliable or unremovable seals, etc. Hereâs what stands out to me over my Yeti. First, the label on the tumbler isnât a full sticker. This is a big benefit in my opinion. There is nothing more that I hate than a nice tumbler with a sticker wrapped around it that leaves residue when you remove it. Second, I appreciate that I can either use the straw for cold drinks or the sip top for hot drinks. With my Yeti I have to have two different lids. Additionally, I like having a handle on the Stanley because my Yeti doesnât have one. Cleaning is comparable to the Yeti, very easy to clean the lid and seal, however, it doesnât include a brush for cleaning the straw (fortunately I have several from the army of tumblers Iâve collected over the years). The last standout feature is the nonslip bottom (again, my Yeti doesnât have that). As far as keeping drinks cold or hot for extended periods of time. The Stanley does seem to perform better, however, Iâve been following the instructions for pre-cooling and preheating 5-10 minutes before putting the beverage in and by doing that it seems to outperform my Yeti. The caveat though is that I donât do that step with my Yeti as it wasnât mentioned in the instructions like it is for this one. Overall, it seems to be very well-made and this one is my new âgo toâ tumbler for daily use.

Well insulated
Large. Holds a lot. Fits in most cupholders. It keeps hit beverages hot and cold beverages cold. I made an extra large Chai latte in it and it stayed hot until the last drop. The straw held up to the high temperature. I’m very happy with this cup.

Great mug!
This Thermos 40 oz insulated mug is a strong contender in the popular market dominated by brands like Stanley and Yeti. It’s a solidly built and well-crafted mug designed for durability. Here’s what I appreciate:Exceptional Cold Retention: The vacuum insulation effectively keeps beverages icy cold for extended periods. While a solid lid might offer slightly longer retention, the sipping/straw lid is convenient for everyday use.Noise Reduction: The soft, non-slip base eliminates the annoying “clang” often associated with metal mugs.Secure Lid: The screw-on lid with a silicone seal provides excellent leak resistance. I can comfortably carry the mug at an angle without fear of spills. I also like that it is transparent, so I can identify the type and level of drink remaining.Easy Cleaning: The slide lock lid is easily disassembled for thorough cleaning.Refined Aesthetics: The low-sheen exterior finish gives the mug a sophisticated look.Comfortable Grip: The handle is wide enough to accommodate most hand sizes.Car-Friendly: The mug fits comfortably in my car cup holders, although the height of any 40 oz size can be a little obtrusive in smaller cars.High-Quality Straw: The included straw is sturdy and transparent for easy cleaning. With a good selection of color options and competitive pricing, I think the Thermos mug offers excellent value and is a worthy competitor to aforementioned brands in this category.

Well made
I use cups like these daily both out of the house and at home in the office. Keeps drinks cool in the harsh summers out here and usually designed with some spill protection for when kids get wild. Big size means less refills through the day and it is convenient to grab and get a drink while in the middle of something so I don’t forget to stay hydrated. Everything on this cup has been great. The handle is incredibly sturdy and large enough to easily grab with added grip from a rubber like layer. The lid is actually really interesting and the way it comes apart makes it very easy to clean. Most lids are designed with some way to take apart for cleaning but this one actually thought ahead and made it very simple. Good name brand that really put the effort in and built right.

It’s a Thermos!!
There are a lot of new names out there in insulated drinkware, but when it comes to the OG, I’ve always trusted Thermos products. I am impressed with the overall design, function and look of this 40oz. mug. It has a nice hefty weight to it, yet not so heavy that you cannot hold it. I found that it keeps my drinks hot or cold for long periods of time. I was worried because of the plastic lid thinking maybe too much cold/heat would escape, but the lid maintains a solid suction to the cup. The slide-lock is convenient and works well. The best feature by far is that it fits in car cup holders, amazing for a mug of this size!

Very nice, love the wide mouth for cleaning
This is a very nice travel cup/mug. The size is generous, and the lower portion is tapered in enough that it fits in the car cupholder. It allows for both the straw option or removing the straw and just using the slide where you can drink directly from the mug. Itâs very sturdy and has a great quality feel in the hands. One of the things I like most about it is the fact that when you unscrew the top lid portion, you can fit your entire hand the whole way down into the bottom edges of this thing so there are no worries about being able to clean and sanitize it properly. That is a huge plus and selling point for me.I would definitely recommend this as a goto travel mug⦠It would also make an awesome gift.
