Our daughter and future son-in law were so impressed by the quality and the price on this product! It’s a beautiful grinder and is much lower in price than at other sites. Will use this company again!

Great Styling and works efficiently – Kinda messy to use
I bought this because my previous one ($19) wore out, and I was looking to get something a bit more stylish. It looks Great, and grinds more per crank than the old one. So it takes less time to grind. With the Cover design, even gentle grinding results in Coffee Beans being sprayed around the area. That’s a big problem. And when the bottom is unscrewed and the Top part is laid down, the Beans spill out. More mess to clean up.First World Problems, yes. I thought the product would be better though.

    Pretty but not perfect
Good grinder made from pretty and quality materials. It doesn’t have the most satisfying tactile feedback when grinding tho (i’ve owned better Hario grinders in this regard). Also because of the way it’s constructed (the ceramic piece is covering a plastic interior that screws into the wooden part) there a bit of play between the upper and lower sections, even when tightly screwed in.

    Looks awesome, doesn’t work well
It looks great, and I’ve had good luck with a previous Hario hand grinder that I owned for years. Unfortunately on this model the lid does not stay on, and the big threads connecting the two halves capture the grinds as you’re trying to pour them out. The lid has a small silicone flange that’s supposed to keep it in place, but it does the opposite—prevents the lid from fully closing. While you’re grinding, the lid can come flying off sending beans everywhere! I wanted to like this grinder because it looks so cool, but it’s not functional, so I’m returning it and going back to my previous hand grinder

    Step-less mod
This is a beauty and looks great in every kitchen. While I find the Skerton plain ugly and the Mini Mill…well…plasticky… the olive wood and white ceramic is simple, yet eye catching. So much about the looks.Don’t be fooled though, the insert holding the mechanics/burr is all white plastic. Quite solid, though.Regarding the function it seems the product design is only semi-finished. Especially when you have to feed one of the more picky espresso machines like the Miss Silvia, some modding is needed. The 20-step adjustment ring just doesn’t allow for precise fine tuning of the grind size.To make it step-less, I turned the adjustment nut upside-down and fixed it with a counter nut. It’s a great machine now and I love starting my coffee ceremony with the Hario. One more note, I imagine it’s difficult to hold if having small hands as the diameter of the mill, even in the center is still quite large.

Looks lovely but internals are the same plastic poor quality materials found in the £25 alternative from the same company. Not great. Save your money and go for the Mini Slim Hario.
