The V60 metal coffee dripper controls the flow, timing and temperature of the water. The Hario V60 is a cone pour-over brewer which has been specially designed to produce an evenly brewed cup of coffee. The V60 is one of the most popular manual coffee brewers on the market today. Why the cone shape? The cone shaped paper filter adds depth to the coffee layer, so that the water flows to the center, extending the amount of time it is in contact with the ground coffee. The brand recognized by Coffee Geeks worldwide.
Made of the best heat resistant borosilicate glass from Hario

    This is the one
This is the best drip cone you can buy, hands down. Easy to clean, unbreakable, perfect size for one very big mug of coffee. Tried many, many other cones and methods. This is the simplest and best for everyday home use drip coffee. Get the real 02 Hario cone filters; they are worth it. Use this with the classic large glass coffee mug so you can see what the heck you are doing…

Quality material, beautiful appearance, built to last.
The Hario V60 is everything it was designed to be. Being fabricated from high-quality stainless steel it is not going rust, chip, break or discolor. It is just the right size and can be easily packed for travel use. You won’t have to worry about it breaking in transit. It goes without saying that this is a favorite piece of equipment for creating delicious pour-overs. Coffee brewing is an art and this unit will only help you achieve that perfect cup of coffee you strive for. I would recommend this pour-over coffee dripper to anyone that wants to advance their technique in the never-ending pursuit of perfection. Cheers!

    Huge Improvement
I had the ceramic version of this dripper and enjoyed using it but it was getting stained and kind of ugly as well as not retaining heat as much as I’d like so I tried this one. It solves both of those issues and at this point I don’t really see how it could get any better than this. It does a great job! Now it’s just up to my pour over technique to do the rest.

I think it’s well worth the “splurge” if you know you like the Hario V60
Have brewed ~115 cups with my ~ten dollar clear plastic V60, only two on this new metal one. I love the design, I can produce what I consider an excellent cup of pourover without even trying. I use the white, tabbed Hario filters. My plastic V60 is still in perfect condition, but, I wanted to try the metal one out, and so that I’ll have the plastic one as a backup.I brew directly into my mug, and I noticed a huge difference in stability with the silicone “skirt” on the metal dripper. The one-piece plastic dripper has… a plastic base obviously, it makes weaker contact with the mug, combined with its lighter-weight means it feels less stable, especially near the end of the brew. Stability comes in to play in a big way when you’re swirling your grounds. The metal brewer seems like it might be draining a bit more slowly than the plastic one, but I’m not sure. I have not timed them. One negative that I will have to learn to train myself on… The walls of the cone get scorching hot, AND they retain heat long after the brew. Whereas… With the plastic brewer I could comfortably grab it even with it full of hot water. For me this is sort of a positive, it means I can rinse with the remainder of my boiled water, it’ll air dry almost instantly. I just need to remember I can only grab it by the handle, it is well isolated from the body.

Good, but do not use with large mouth cups
It’s well-made, light, and stylish. If you use it on a larger Yeti tumbler like their 30 oz. one or any large-ish coffee cup, beware that the rubber base will soften after exposure to heated liquids and collapse into your cup. This is only for small diameter cups like Yeti’s 20 oz. and smaller.

    Makes great coffee.
Makes very good coffee. Had been using a coffee press after I noticed the water reservoir of our drip coffee maker smelled like plastic when we had not used it for a very short period of time. Did some research on plastics and concerned that the plastic most likely has been leaching. That can’t be good for you! But we wanted to reduce the oils in coffee (effect on cholesterol) by using a filter. Found this online and glad we did. Easy to make coffee and tastes great. We got the unbleached natural filters from JAPAN also. This coffee dripper makes up to four cups of coffee. Decided to go with the stainless steel version verses glass/ceramic for it’s durability and it is not plastic.

Has stood the test of time
I’ve updated my rating to 5 stars. This is a solid product and has withstood the test of time. Although I still think this is not ideal for use directly on a mug, I made a stand for mine and I do like how this works. Silicone is as fresh as the day I bought it, and the metal is in excellent condition years later. Here’s my original review for what it’s worth:I was very excited about the idea of this product, it’s being metal and silicone. However one thing that the designers did not account for is the pressure buildup of air when using this dripper directly onto a mug. I think this is due mostly to the fact that the product is made with the silicone base which creates an airtight seal. With the plastic or glass drrippers there is air circulation so the coffee simply drips into the mug but with this dripper pressure builds up and coffee floods out of the sides of the silicone base and all over the counter! The only solution to this problem is to elevate the dripper from the mug in someway either using a special stand, or a pair of chopsticks. All of which seems a little ridiculous given the cost of this. I may eventually drill a couple holes in the sides of the silicone, but really, why should I have to? I think this is an example of where a designer designs a particular product for a particular accessory but doesn’t think about the average everyday person who is simply going to place this on their mug. I do like the metal and the fact that this product seems like it will last a long time. I know that silicone over time takes on the flavors of whatever is nearby – soap or coffee, so I don’t know how long the silicone will last. It’s really close to being perfect.

    Love a non-plastic, non-breakable pour over option
Used to have the plastic (then went away from heating food/drink in plastic). Then had a ceramic but was heavy and risk of breaking it was high. So upgraded to this metal version and it’s really good. I have had no problems with a plastic taste from the base touching my mugs. Makes great coffee! Only complaint is the V60 filters aren’t a perfect fit, they are slightly too small and pull away from the wall of the pour over. Beware of that.

Lasts forever, dishwasher proof, good looking and the black ring can be removed. I love it and the price was way better than I could find elsewhere at the time of purchase.Warning!Make sure you agree with the prices of the filters as the shape of the filters are different from the ones you will find at your local supermarket!
