Poor quality
The old adage applies here…you get what you pay for. Pricing was attractive, but the quality was very poor. The casting was very rough, the tabs to lock the hopper to the body were too small and did not lock the hopper properly, and there were gaps between the hopper and the body. The tapped hole to mount the handle to the auger was not deep enough and would not tighten the handle to the auger. The auger retaining clamp was not manufactured properly and would not allow the retainer to tighten to the body.

Works better than I had expected. It is basically a foolproof method for grinding a special feed for my chickens that only comes in one form. My chickens are a bantam type of chicken (Seramas) and the food is great for it’s needed nutritional value but only comes as ball style pellets that are too hard for my very small chickens to eat comfortably/safely.This grinder is easy to adjust in terms of the output size and it’s extremely easy to use. We had been using food processors previously and it was difficult to get an even grind, and just grind it in general. It also burned up one food processor so we decided to go with a more simple, old-fashioned system. There are no worries about burning up a pricier electric appliance.We were worried this option would be more time-consuming and/or labor intensive but it’s actually easier and faster for our purposes. I love this grinder, I am amazed at how far it’s exceeded my expectations.

It will crack corn but not very well
This hand crank will crack corn but be aware it is not going to give you a uniform size. Some is crushed and other is just cracked. This will be fine for chicken feed but don’t think you will get corn milled for cooking on your first try.

It was missing on of the screw for adjusting the tighten of the flour. Fortunately, I had some in my tool box and could use it perfectly, besides that it looks like a good quality. the packages also was damaged, not sure if it was a new or return item, but happy with it so far.
