NICE Large Infuser
This works great for coffee or tea. The infuser is really large and long. I like that it is deep in the teapot for better coverage. I drink a lot so it’s just right for me. I bought this as a replacement for the old infuser I had. The problem with these types of infusers is that the rim is attached to the mesh base with as few as 4 tiny pin-sized spot welds. That is not much to hold them together. When you go to remove the wet contents that are stuck by knocking it against the waste can it breaks the welds over time, so the rim comes off. Now I have to carefully scoop out the contents with a spoon and wipe out the remains with a tissue or cloth. I would not try the glass over the stove. I boil the water separately and pour over the infuser. I have a little one too. Both are handy.

I love this!
It is the perfect size for a big cup or 2 small cups of tea! I boiled the water in the glass pot and then put the infuser with tea in it and sat on a hot pad for about 10 minutes, perfect tea each time.

Not Quite as Described
Initial impression after one use. Not bad but described in several places as glass and stainless – quote, “borosilicate glass and 304 stainless steel cover”. The carafe is glass and the lower part of the defuser is metal – no reason to suspect that it isn’t 304. But the upper part that locates into the neck and the lid are lighter, have lower heat conductivity and appear to be plastic with a shiny chrome look. Definitely not 304.
