Adjustable
Just used it the first time. Compare this one to my previous Cuisinart, it has some better features: Adjustable timer, no over-ground coffee stuck at bottom of the bowl after grinding, the cap could be turned to lock tight to the body so it cannot fall out while shelving.

Easy to use and clean
This came out of the box ready to use. It has a minimal number of parts that are easy to clean. There is an easy timer to use that dictates the fineness of the grind. It stores away easily. I am very happy with it

Works great. Looks good and not big on c ounter. Is new, so can’t comment on long time use.
Like that it has a dial for strength of coffee grind and is quiet like it stated. Bought the black. Looks great, works great! Easy to remove and clean. The size is good, not big and price was right on! Love my coffee.

Excellent for grinding spices, incredibly happy with the results!
I didnât get this for coffee, but for spices. I have a Krups basic grinder Iâve been using for years, but it doesnât get things as fine as I want, and I have to stand there and push down on the button while shaking it up and down. Not really complaining about the manual effort, but youâd think after all that, itâd do a better job. I got the Krups based on a recommendation from Americaâs Test Kitchen. I personally think this one is much better. I had recently used my old one for grinding up dried vanilla beans, and it did ok, but it wasnât as fine if powder as I wanted. I definitely didnât want little chunks of vanilla beans in my baked goods. I recently made crème brûlée for 20 people at Thanksgiving, along with a quart of salted caramel sauce. I had 6 leftover vanilla beans that I let dry. I was waiting on this to test it. I did break them into about 2â pieces, but they were quite dry and I had high hopes this would pulverize them. I used the finest setting of 30 seconds, and actually stopped it early. You can tell by the sound if itâs still working on chunky pieces. I was amazed at how fine of power it created. I then added this powder to my previously ground beans by the Krups, and reran everything through this grinder again, and everything was perfectly and finely powder. I really like how you can set your desired consistency, hit start, and walk away. It stops when the time is up. You can also remove the grinding cup from the electrical housing for cleaning. I couldnât do that with my Krups. The only drawback so far is in getting the lid locked on and off. The seal is quite tight, but I did notice it got easier with each use. I probably wonât use this for things I want coarsely ground. I donât trust that when I canât see whatâs going on. Iâll use my mortar and pestle for that. Iâll also keep the Krups. I like the idea of having one for spices and one for dried chili peppers. The peppers tend to leave behind stains, smells, and tastes, unless you go through a special process to clean the grinder. This will definitely be my preferred grinder for finely ground spices though, and I would highly recommend getting one!!

For coffee, I’d point you in the direction of a good burr grinder, but this is great for spices
For coffee, I personally prefer a burr grinder over this kind of blade grinder, because burr machines can achieve a more even grind; with this style, you’re a lot more likely to get a curve from superfine powder (which will probably leave you with sediment in your cup) to large chunks of beans (which won’t extract well and can result in weaker coffee). That said, burr grinders are more expensive, and it’s totally possible to get good results from a blade grinder, and it’s definitely a huge upgrade from buying pre-ground; whole beans last longer before staling and it makes a much bigger difference than most people expect.I have a burr grinder for coffee, so I got this for use as a spice grinder, and it’s been great for that purpose. I grind most spices pretty fine anyway, so just running this, stopping to shake as needed to keep things even works really well. I’ve also used it to convert some potato flakes into potato flour when I needed a tablespoon and didn’t have any on hand. It’s much smaller than the smallest blender jar I own, so it fills a niche for small-batch grinding. The removable cup makes for easy cleaning, which I really appreciate; I’ve owned small grinders with fixed cups in the past and they were a huge pain to clean.

Powerful electric coffee and spice grinder
Notice: This product was received at no charge as part of the Amazon Vine program but this is an unbiased review. This is a powered coffee grinder that works great for grinding spices too. The receiving cup twists on top of stainless steel grinding container, which has the rotating blades, and it locks on for a tight fit. Thereâs a power dial that allows you to select the grinding time for the coffee grind from a course grind to a fine powder. The stainless steel container is big and it can hold enough for a several cups. Itâs probably best to use a larger amount of beans, because trying to grind a small batch for a single little cup causes the beans to bounce around above the blades where they donât get ground as well. Bigger amounts work better. The rotating blades sit at the bottom of the stainless steel grinder container. The container is removable so you pour the grind out and it makes for easier cleaning. Having the removable container allows you to pour the grind out without having to hold up the power unit. The blades spin really fast. The beans are pretty well ground to a fine grind in about the maximum 30 second timer selection.Since Iâm not much of a coffee drinker, I decided to try to see how it does with spices, so I used it to grind some cinnamon. It worked fairly well, but I needed a bigger amount of cinnamon pieces to get a better grind since the small amount had the cinnamon pieces flying around above the blades where theyâre not getting ground. A larger amount would be better. I also used it to grind a half cup of rolled oats to make oat flour, and that worked really well. Having that larger amount of material allowed the blades to work better and get a good grind. All in all, itâs a quality product that will allow coffee drinkers to choose their grind and it will get them a great cup of fresh coffee. It also works as a spice grinder too. But youâll need a larger batch to make it work best.
