Just the right size for a single, large cappuccino
This pitcher holds 12 ounces when filled to the brim. It is exactly the right size for a single, large cappuccino. It is made of heavier gauge steel than my other two pitchers (one that’s too large and one that’s too small). The stainless steel appears to be excellent. I doubt that rust will ever be a problem. The handle seems to be appropriately sized. I didn’t have any problem with it. It is welded on with four spot welds. The welds look like they’ll be perfectly adequate for the occasional fall to the floor. My smaller pitcher has only three spot welds and I have had no problems with it in the many years I have owned it.Altogether this is an excellent pitcher that is the perfect size for me.Update, one year (almost) later:The handle is still firmly attached to the pitcher, in spite of a couple of falls. Still no rust either.I have bought a new cappuccino maker that makes a larger shot. As a result I now need to froth more milk than when I bought this pitcher, so it’s now just a bit too small. I have switched back to my larger, 18-ounce (filled to the brim) pitcher. I am keeping this smaller one to use with my old cappuccino maker in our RV.Apparently, this one is either just right or too small, depending upon your own style of coffee making. If it’s the right size, you won’t go wrong with this pitcher.

Great quality, perfect for a latte
This is a great steam pitcher for latte art and is one of the better pitchers I’ve used. Some pitchers out there have super funky shapes that are angled (with a wider bottom) or curved or just plain unnecessarily fancy — this Rattleware pitcher is just plain and simple — straight walls perfect for frothing and swirling, heavy construction that stands up to some knocking when you’re trying to get out those big air bubbles in your milk. While the specs say 12 oz, you can actually comfortably fit about 7 oz of milk in here if you’re frothing for a latte (so it’s perfect if you’re making a classic 8 oz latte).Oh and if it helps, this is basically the same steam pitcher that La Marzocco sells on its site … for $29. Yeesh.

    Solid pitcher
Great pitcher. The spout has perfect dimensions for pouring latte art. A slight lip to guide the milk downward, and it is just pointy enough to be able to control how thick you want your milk to pour. You don’t need guides/lines on the inside of the pitcher, just fill it up halfway (where the spout begins). The steel thickness is also perfect — you can accurately gauge when the milk is hot enough by using your hand, and it is thick enough to maintain some cold after being stored in the fridge/freezer to give you a couple of seconds of extra frothing.Have had it for many months and there have been zero issues with rust or anything after daily use. Just don’t soak it in water and it will be fine. Rinse and dry it with a towel after using, it will last you a lifetime.

    Not a bad little pitcher
This was exactly what I was looking for-a small, sturdy pitcher that I can use to make a latte for one. It’s hard to have much to say about a basic pitcher, but this one is good. It’s sturdy. The only drawback is the handle. Unless you use only one finger and thumb to hold it, your knuckles are going to get burned. For that reason, I just use a pot holder and grab the whole cup instead of the handle.

Perfect for a single 12-ounce serving
I recently purchased a Rattleware 12-ounce milk frothing pitcher. I already own a Rattleware 20-ounce, but wanted a smaller pitcher for a little more control over the single-serve lattes I make for myself every morning. I’m certainly no expert, but pairing this pitcher with my 12-ounce Cremaware cups seems to be a great combo for creating latte art.You actually only want to fill this pitcher up about 60%, as the milk expands as you steam it–anything more and you run the risk of spattering hot steamed milk all over your hands. If you want to froth up more milk for a large latte or for two people at a time, you may want to invest in the 20-ounce pitcher instead. So far, I’m happy with my purchase. It’s built out of sturdy stainless steel, and froths just the right amount of milk for my morning fix. I plan to use this pitcher more than my 20-ounce pitcher. Definitely recommended.

    Love it
I have used some no name froth pitcher for quite a few years with my less expensive espresso machine. I recently upgraded to a new machine and was getting frustrated with the shape of that pitcher, especially the handle. My friend bought one of these Rattleware pitchers and he said he liked his. I figured for the price lets see how it works. The metal isnt all that thick, but yet its so much thicker than the one I was using, and it was nicely spun and shaped and polished. The shape and size of this is absolutely perfect. Its the perfect size for storage and use in my opinion and I can usually get enough milk for two lattes or cappuccinos after frothing. I am pleasantly pleased and it looks great.

Rust on bottom upon receiving package
Nice sturdy feel and shape. However, I’m assuming this was used? I paid for a brand new pitcher and upon receiving the package, there are brown spots on the bottom that look like rust.

    Great for Latte Art
This pitcher is the perfect size for steaming milk for a single 8oz. latte. Filling it to about 3/8″ to 1/8′ below the spout mark gives you the right level to create a nice milk vortex even during stretching which gives you control of how much air you add and helps to break down the bubbles and make a nice microfoam. It also has a nice shape spout that helps to push the milk forward when pouring allowing more control when pouring latte art. It has a nice wall thickness and feels balanced and heavy. If you want to steam for miltiple drinks at one time get a larger size.

Got the tip from an Australian barista in London, who swears by steaming small. This little beauty does a great job of not heating two quickly, and letting the milk swirl while you let the bubbles in to form micro foam.Fill little less that half full with cold milk, put the wand down the spout just under the top of the milk, let the milk swirl, and then after you have about 2/3 a pitcher in volume, move the pitcher such that the wand is in the middle and now get the milk very warm, et voila.Very nice for latte art, and especially pouring a flat white.

    2杯分のラテアートには少し小さいと思います。当然、170mlの牛乳で200ccカップ2杯には足りないです。牛乳を増やそうにもスチーム中にあふれそうになると思います。1杯分なら良いと思います。
