Works well but teeth can chip
Works really well but be careful not to grind too small a volume of material since the upper/lower teeth can chip each other and leave iron flakes in your spices. If that happens, you can easily remove them using a magnet.

I love grinding up my spices like cardamom seeds, fenugreek seeds, and peppercorns, as I need them. I used to use a mortar and pestle, but that became more difficult with age. This little spice grinder works so much better than the old method, which I still use for herbs, just not hard seeds. It’s easy to clean and small enough to keep with my herbs in the cabinet. Since it doesn’t need plugged in, it requires no counter space, which is a huge bonus for me. I highly recommend this for the average herbalist or anyone who likes to grind their own herbs to use for cooking.

They really don’t grind all that well. I bought it for Celtic salt and you have to hulk smash it to get any kind of results. Twisting with normal/heavy pressure really doesn’t work.

If I had to do over again, I would have purchased a mortar and pestle. IMO this item is not intended for crushing spices, larger or harder than coriander. The crushing surfaces are just not aggressive enough.
