Are these better than anyone else’s? Of course not. Pretty much any tea ball is the same. But they have no flaws- the clasps work great, there are no loose wires poking out, they are not some weird metal that rusts and tastes bad. Perfectly good, normal tea balls.I gotta say, in reaction to the shockingly highly-rated review from some idiot who apparently doesn’t have tea on their home planet… no it is NOT a design flaw that you can only fill a chain-style ball halfway (as opposed, I guess, to the ones on stiff handles, that open like scissors, so you could grab a full scoop out of the tea tin). YOU ARE ONLY EVER SUPPOSED TO FILL A TEA BALL HALFWAY, well, actually less than halfway. You need to leave room for the water to swirl through the tea so it can infuse properly. If it’s jammed in there tightly, you won’t get all the flavor out of the tea leaves. And keep in mind tea expands a lot once it is fully wet. You want to fill a teaball maybe 1/3 full in my opinion. Half full is the absolute maximum. This little 2″ one I bought is only good for a single cup of tea if you like it strong, maybe half a pot of weak tea. If you want to do a full strength full sized pot or large thermos, you need to get a couple of them in there or pick the larger ball, maybe even put a couple of the larger balls in. Whatever you do, don’t cram too much tea in each ball or you’ll be throwing out your tea leaves with most of the flavor still in them not in your water!Personally I prefer to use a french press, seems to infuse more thoroughly plus I like to look at the leaves unfurling. But a glass carafe is bulky and fragile. If you are travelling or making tea at work then you need a tea ball, and these are a perfect choice.

Dispite what others have said it seals well!
Works great!Ok folks who say it doesn’t seal good are lacking basic abilities to figure things out on their own. Here’s the trick put the desired amount of loose tea into the ball close the ball. Do not clasp it right away look at the 2 mating faces you will notice a tiny gap. If you wiggle it side to side the gap will vanish now clasp it shut and use. Once you do it one time this way you will get it sealed every time without even looking at it

Doing their job just fine
Fits perfectly inside my mug and holds a good amount of tea in it. I do wish they could make the holes a tiny bit smaller so tea doesnât fall out but it still gets the job done. Easy to clean, they kind of fall apart sometimes but theyâre easy to put back together.

Simple and easy
I like simple design when it comes to my loose leaf tea. These are perfect. Some leaves escape, but very small amounts. Good metal, easy to clean, no problems.

Works okay but kinda cheap.

Work great with no tea leaf leakage
They snap together tight and work very well to brew a cup of tea from loose leaf tea or herbs. Easy to clean and store.

Very easy to use.
I used it forMy making my fresh tea and I like the way it holds the tea leaves into the containers and not in my water.

Works but not for me
I like leave tea bag in the cup but I canât do that with this because itâs little bulky.Little tricky to close it. When I used it had little gap between so tea leaf came out.

These stainless steel mesh tea balls are super handy for making loose-leaf tea. The mesh is fine enough, so no leaves escape into the cup, which I like a lot. Itâs easy to use, but the latch could be a little tighterâit sometimes feels loose. Cleaning them is simple, but drying fully takes a bit longer. Make sure you donât leave it in tea overnight, might get rust Overall, theyâre a great choice for tea lovers who prefer reusable options over tea bags.
