Founded in 1996 by the non-profit Institute for Agriculture & Trade Policy (IATP) and initially run out of their basement as a for-profit entity to purchase coffee at fair prices and create a market to sell it in the Midwest and beyond. This supported their mission to advocate for family farms around the globe.

Good. Very, very good.
I have a favorite coffee. Itâs an organic blend, roasted locally at a small roaster here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Itâs the most delicious coffee Iâve ever had. And itâs expensive. I keep a few bags in the pantry, but only drink it on the weekends. I ration it because it is so good. So, in my quest to find something as close to that as I possibly could I found this coffee, âMorning Gloryâ from Peace Coffee in Minnesota. Nowhere near the Blue Ridge BUT with beans from the same regions as my beloved Red Rooster blend. I thought that was a good place to start. Ordered a bag of the Peace Coffee, and to my surpriseâ¦.itâs really, really good. And very close to what my Red Rooster gives me-smooth, mild, light roasted coffee with a little kick in the pants to get me going. The Red Rooster has more pronounced cocoa and caramel notes (itâs not flavored, the roasting process brings out these little notes in the beans) than the Peace Coffee, but they are oh-so similar. Morning Glory is classified as a Light Roast, but I would actually say it borders on Medium roast. When I compare the beans side by side, the Peace Coffee beans are about a shade and a half darker than the Red Rooster. So, itâs light, but not âblondeâ. The Red Rooster is almost a âblondeâ roast. Red Rooster will always be my indulgent coffee, but for my Monday-Friday daily cuppa, the Morning Glory works. Thereâs more in the bag and the price is right. Enjoy your coffee, but donât break the bank! VERY VERY GOOD STUFF!

Best coffee ever!!!
I’ve been on the hunt for a lower acid, shade grown coffee that didn’t skimp on flavor and PEACE came up on a lot of lists on the internet when I did a search for “best low-acid coffee”. Their Guatamalan is probably the best coffee I’ve ever had. They’re also happy to answer any questions you have if you contact them through their website. GREAT COMPANY!

All around amazing!!
I was in search of a new coffee. I always look for far trade as it gives more to the growers. I was delighted by the fact this company is also sustainability focused. The kind description on the back about bringing people together and focusing on peace for all made my heart smile. I was sold already. Then I had a cup. Oh my! It is such an elegant flavor. It is organic but wonât break your pocketbook. I would give it way beyond 5 stars if I could. I thank you for starting this company and your people focused philosophy. You just made a customer for life and I will definitely recommend always!

I didnât know what to expect and I was pleasantly surprised. I like the coffee, it has a unique flavor that stays with you for a bit . I think this coffee will grow on me- itâs intriguing- big flavor!

This coffee has no bitter or acidic edge, and it is a nice well rounded light roast. I couldn’t be happier. I drink it with a splash of milk and a pump of hazelnut syrup. Amazing!!!!

Itâs important to protect people, birds and the environment in coffee growing regions so this coffee is perfect. Certified organic, shade grown and free trade. Plus it comes every two months so no small packages to toss. Oh, and itâs delicious!
