I’ve recently become infatuated with spices so I decided to get a grinder set. Like everyone, I searched online till I had too much information in my head. Here’s what I knew going into this: I wanted electric simply because of the ease of use. I wanted a ceramic grinder mechanism because I’m not convinced stainless steel won’t rust or stain, especially when in constant contact with salt (I have stainless steel dinnerware and cookware that have stained over time), and I wanted something with a majority of good reviews. This set fit the bill plus the caddy pushed me over the edge. It’s simple to use, easy to open and fill, and easy to disassemble for cleaning. It has an excellent range of course to fine settings that are not incremental but fluid. Twisting the dial doesn’t click in to any preset selection so you can “fine tune” your desired level of coarseness.One of the concerns from another review I read was that the grinders don’t dispense salt well if at all. I got some Himalayan pink salt and it didn’t dispense when I used it. HOWEVER! The spice store I went to said most salts for grinding, especially Himalayan Pink, have a moisture content. If you fill your grinder right out of the container it will clog your grinding mechanism with a salty paste. You need to air dry the amount you want to fill your grinder with for 24 hours first to dry them out. Sure enough, my grinder had salt paste on it so I cleaned it and dried the salt in a small condiment bowl for a day. Bingo! No problem grinding salt! Works perfectly now.I’m excited to try all kinds of pepper blends. I have a rainbow type blend in there now and I have used a very coarse setting for cooking and a fine setting for seasoning on my plate. Chucks to powder, these are excellent for pepper!These work well, dispense great and are boxed well for gifting. Definitely a good choice!

I looked at TONS of electric grinders before settling on this set. I have so much trouble using the built-in grinders that come with a lot of peppercorn and sea salt bottles. They’re hard to turn and even set to “fine,” coarse chunks get through that give a nasty bite. These grinders do a wonderful job of grinding fine, medium, or coarse, using the easy to adjust setting. They hold a decent amount of pepper or salt crystals, so you don’t have to keep refilling every few days like you do with some grinders. Yes, they take a lot of batteries (4 AA per grinder), but that gives them enough power to do a superb job of grinding, plus powering the ultra-convenient LED light so you can easily see how much seasoning you’re dispensing.These would make a fabulous gift for any occasion. Wedding season is just around the corner, so if there’s a wedding coming up that you’ll need to buy a gift for, these are ideal. Also, if you or someone you love has arthritis and can’t handle the conventional grinders you have to twist by hand, look no further. They will LOVE these! Just an easy press with your thumb on the large top button and the grinder does all the rest. However, be warned, opening and closing the battery cover and the lower compartment where you fill with salt or pepper can be a bit difficult. They’re made to close very firmly. I just used one of those flat rubber things used to help open stubborn jars. Problem solved.An added plus is the very nice stainless steel carrying trivet and the soft rubber caps for the bottoms of the grinders that keep flecks of pepper or salt from messing up your table. You can place this elegant set at the most formal of dinner tables, and it will look like a million bucks next to your best china, crystal, and your grandmother’s silver.I have to add a special note about the sellers. I had a minor issue with one of the grinders, nothing that seemed to affect its operation. I notified the sellers and they immediately – and I mean, within just a few hours of my submitting the email – issued a replacement without my even asking, and without requiring me to go through the hassle of boxing up and returning the original set. How’s that for over the top customer service? A one-year warranty on these babies, plus a seller that stands behind their products 110 percent – how can you go wrong?Don’t hesitate. Hi. This product did not work at all for me. Unfortunately I couldn’t start a return process Bcz I tore the box before trying to use it. I even bought this item twice thinking that it may have just been one defective piece, but even the second one is defective in the same manner. Brand new batteries and it chooses when to work. And now it is completely dead. The second one I bought, I made sure to keep the box and I am in the process of returning it.
