Works Great! Needs a measuring soon in kit
I ordered two different types of Vertuo pod covers to see which I liked best. One was these silicone covers and the other was the Geesta foil covers sold here on Amazon. These were the best hands down. I have had no leaks, no problems with spilled grounds, or water not going through the pod. That said, the kit needs a few tweaks. First, there are an odd number of covers, only three. If you are a couple, buy two sets. Second, the tiny scoop is worthless. The kit that Geesta sells comes with a larger measuring spoon that works great for filling coffee sized pods AND it is nearly the pod diameter, so it makes leveling the coffee easy. If you only want to refill pods that are smaller portion, you will need to experiment to find the right amount of coffee to use.A couple of tips that have worked for me:1. Do not overfill the pods. Use a measuring spoon and ensure you have about 5mm gap from the top of the coffee to the pod top. This ensures that you can get the lid on and that water can flow through the pod itself.2. Do not overpack the coffee! The Vertuo is not an espresso machine. Fill the coffee and then just LIGHTLY tap the spoon to level the surface. If you pack it, water will not be able to flow through the coffee grounds to make coffee. You also risk getting the needle that inserts onto the pod clogged.3. Use genuine Vertuo pods. You need the code on the bottom for the machine to read so it makes the right size of coffee. Make sure the pod shells are dry before refilling or using the refilled pods in your machine. The same goes for the lid in the kit. Water will spoil the coffee inside and can cause issues with the machine. Just lightly dry the cleaned shell and lid or dry overnight before using.4. Use the right grind of coffee!! I have used both medium fine and more medium and got the best results with medium fine (stronger coffee). Powder will clog the holes. Do not pulverize your beans too much.5. Use the filled pods within a day or two. There are holes in the lid that will degrade the coffee if kept too long. This set is best for those who fill pods just before brewing or the night before. I can easily fill several pod shells within a minute so it does not take long. Given the holes on top, keep the pods upright until used so coffee grounds do not leak out.I much prefer this system over the foil covers. I found those a pain to use as they do not always adhere well and they take too long to put on compared to the silicone tops, plus you keep having to buy more foils. I have also had issues with leaks of grounds with them due to the foil not sticking completely. If you have the extra money, get the Geesta system for their brush and measuring spoon, but use the silicone covers from those kit instead of the foil. The Geesta brush is much easier to use given its length and has nicer bristles. Better yet, Vivi Sun could offer something similar in their kit. This system is also sustainable for those into no waste. Once you use a couple of Vertuo pods, keep them and remove the foil (make sure the pod edges inside are smooth so that the silicone lids can seat properly. Compost or throw away the used Vertuo coffee and keep the pod shells. Once you refill the pods, all you have to dispose of is the spent coffee daily.

Saving a ton of money, sorry Nespresso!
These silicone lids are easy to use. I have maybe a dozen used Nespresso pods. The picture is a cup of Bustelo espresso. Makes a great cup with incredible creama.Works great with freshly ground coffee beans too. I use an espresso tamper ever so lightly. If you pack too tight, the machine makes a lot of noise. With this light packing, it performs as well as a Nespresso pod and a whole lot cheaper in the long run!

Don’t overload with coffee grounds
Only my first experience with this was bad and that’s because I put too much / many coffee grounds in the capsule. It made a bit of a mess but after I learned how to use it properly, it’s consistent and fantastic. I haven’t had it very long yet but I look forward to getting more creative with ingredients to add to the coffee grounds. Maybe I’ll make another mess but it’s a learning process, right?

Better than I expected.
These are super easy to use in my Nespresso Vertuo Pop+. However, there are still some coffee grounds that seep through despite me grinding them down to a fine powder. I do think it is way more cost effective and great if you’re environmentally conscious. Not perfect, but a great solution.

Holes not big enough, spilled coffee everywhere
The holes around the perimeter of the product are not nearly big enough for the water to drain through. I would get about a third of the liquid that I would expect from a regular pod using my nespresso vertuo. And the liquid that did come out poured through the overflow drain in the middle drain the machine where the used pods get flipped to when done. This coffeeâ was very weak, despite using a high quality coffee. I did this about eight times completely dumbfounded, using different amounts of coffee, using different pods all together and using the Nespresso pods themselves which functions fine. I came to my conclusion as after I cut the holes bigger around the edges just made one big line there was no overflow. So in the spirit of being ecologically friendly, I will keep these and continue to use them but I had to make a massacre out of them. Holes are not big enough. Try to find a different product with bigger holes is my recommendation.

Fantastic!
These rubber tops are so clever and a BIG money saver. It takes a bit of trial and error to get it just how you like it but totally worth it. I’ve found these work best with a finely ground coffee and I fill about 6/8th full. You have to leave a little room for the coffee to expand. I just use a teaspoon to fill them and tap with my hand to settle the coffee down and level it out. Super easy to hand wash these have held up and look like the day I bought them. I liked them so much I bought a second set. These are one of those items you use and ponder “why didn’t I think of that”.

Not my first time ordering this product. Works great, I think itâs a little stronger than some of the other covers making it easier to put the lid on.

Love it! Will repurchase

These literally pay for themselves in less than 10 cups of coffee! I was worried that the seal wouldn’t be tight enough or that grinds would end up in my cup of coffee but neither proved true. I can now use my favourite blends for a fraction of the cost of the proprietary pods. Super easy to reuse and compost the grinds instead of having to send off by mail for recycling. Really happy I took a chance on these.

It is a good replacement for the foil stickers but I find I have to clean my machine more frequently as it creates clogs from grinds that get through the holes even though I use the same coffee that I used with the foil lids.

It’s been 3 weeks that I am using this product. It’s a great alternative between Nespersso pods. It’s great if you use fine grind coffee.
