More cute than functional, but still a nice working tea infuser
The very adorable âCapybar-ahhhâ tea infuser may be more cuteness than functional, but it still works well and would make a nice gift. My package arrived quite crumpled, but the silicone infuser itself is fine. The infuser splits in the middle at the belly so you can fill it with tea. I usually fill the lower half of the infuser, which can be a bit hard to stuff because the opening isnât very big. Large tea leaves will likely not fit without crushing them. Still, it is ultimately possible to fill it with looseleaf tea if you work at it. The holes of the infuser are on the large side, so finer teas like rooibos could slip right through the holes. As such, I try to only use the infuser with teas that are too large to fit through the holes. There also arenât that many holes, so tea infusion is a little slower than with other infusers. All said, it still works and is very adorable. You just need to perch him on the side of the cup and fill the cup with hot water. Although the tea infusion is a little slower than others, you get a nice cup of tea within a few minutes. I like how nicely he perches on the edge of a cup and holds on well enough during the brewing process. The infuser is surprisingly easy to clean when finished, since the interior geometry is not as complex as I expected. Overall, he is cute and does work despite him not being the best tea infuser ever. I would definitely get him if you find him charming, and he would also make an excellent gift (or âWhite Elephantâ item).

Adorable Capybara
I love these novelty strainers. They don’t work entirely the best for loose leaf or bagged and tend to stain or become difficult over time, but they’re worth the effort for an adorable and easy to shed tea receptacle. The capybara in particular has a good capacity and a cute little orange that can pop off the top (mind you, it leaves a hole in the noggin).

Adorable and doesn’t leak much tea
A necessity? No. But an absolute delight? Yes! This little capybara brings us a lot of joy as we drink our tea and it works considerably better than many others we’ve tried. We did discover that he does not float, so you have to make sure to securely attach him to your cup, and you have to fill it fairly high to ensure that your tea is immersed, but that just means you get more tea. He splits apart across his belly, leaving ample room to fit tea inside, and making him very easy to wash out. I would buy him over and over.

Too cute! Stays cool when done steeping for easy removal.
This is so adorable that it would be worth dunking in your teacup even if it wasnât functional! This would make a great gift for any tea drinking friend who could use a little levity with their caffeineâ¦!The capybara arms sturdily cling to the sides of a teacup – and – the silicone stays cool enough for easy removal when the steeping time has been reached. The two pieces of the critter shaped steeper go together easily once filled with tea and everything is dishwasher safe.I steeped the little critter in hot water and dish soap for a few minutes to get rid of the slight silicone odor and that worked great. It holds together really well – I removed the steam vent when steeping tea but the little orange can be secured easily if desired. The size is perfect for one teaspoon of loose tea – and the silicone once rinsed adds no flavor at all to teas.

very cute
Silicone capybara tea infuser – it comes apart at the waist, has a bunch of holes in the lower half, and has little gripping paws to hang off the side of your teacup. When you pour hot water into the cup the infuser floats for a moment before the water gets inside it, but then it goes back. It really is adorable, whether having a little bath in your mug, or lying on its back with its feet in the air after you take it out. I foresee that cleaning the interior could be a bit tough, but there’s no part that’s too small to get your fingers inside to scrub. Seems very durable; stays closed nicely. Would make an excellent gift.

Cute gift for tea lovers
This is the cutest gift for any tea drinker. The tea infuser even though made out of silicone works really well and becomes cool ones the tea steeps. The grip on the arms is surprisingly sturdy and doesn’t fall off and also rests on my desk upright when not used. Always brings a smile whenever I glance at it.

Best for teacups, not mugs
Fred is an adorable capybara! The body is very squishy and easy to take apart and put back together. He can be washed in a dishwasher and be put in a microwave if desired. The design works best for actual teacups, like the example shown in the listing abd in the back of the box. The holes are a little too high up for mugs. Either way, he is a cute addition for drinking tea!
