My favorite coffee so far
I had trouble deciding if I liked this or the dark roast better so I often brew a pot with a mix of both in the basket. By itself, this ‘medium roast’ is my favorite. It is sort of pricey but you get what you pay for and is worth it for a great cup of coffee in the morning. I have actually used some of the expensive 100% Blue Mountain coffee before, in my opinion this Peet’s ‘Big Bang’ coffee has a slightly better flavor and is way less expensive. I would recommend this coffee to anyone.

It is a perfect balance of rich flavor and smoothness with a delightful aroma and a bold taste without being burnt like Starbucks beans are. Great for starting the day or an afternoon pick-me-up. Now I Know What SMOOTH Means!
I never really understood what smooth means with respect to coffee…until I brewed this coffee. It literally feels thick and smooth on my lips and tongue. The flavor is rich and strong yet so mellow, absolutely no harshness, no bitter notes. Both I and my partner agree this is exceptional coffee.

Big Bang is a very flavorful medium roast
I have a medium roast/low acidity coffee preference, and this is my first time trying any Peetâs coffees. Also, I make my coffee from a high quality drip coffee maker, and I use real creamer, specifically hazelnut or sweet cream. What stands out to me about Big Bang? For a medium roast, this has a bold flavor. I taste chocolate in a big way, somewhere between milk and dark chocolate. I also get a slightly bitter aftertaste with very low acidity. If I can continue to get this at a reasonable cost, I will order again. If you like a bolder more flavorful medium roast, this is definitely worth trying. I for one am glad I took the leap.

Iâve been looking for a decent, affordable, single origin coffee for a while. Iâm not a huge fan of Peetâs Coffees but this might change my mind. Itâs rich and delicious for a fair price.

This coffee tastes great, but when eating it can be grainy. It also tends to be bitter and powdery. I don’t know, maybe I’m doing something wrong. Overall it makes very good snack, 5 stars.
