My new morning coffee routine
I love the smell of freshly ground coffee in the morning, using this grinder. I bought this in the green color, which I especially like. I was happy to find this color. The grinder is weighty and grinds like a dream. Iâm glad I chose the upgraded version, as it should last for years and years to come.

Good manual grinder
Iâve been using the grinder for a couple weeks everyday and it produces a nice grind for my pour-over. Iâm done grinding in about the time the water boils on the stove. My only question is whether the connection between body and handle will loosen over time. It does have a nice bit of friction currently, but since you must take top on and off with each use I wonder if that will change.

Chestnut X Lite – It’s that good ! ! !
The scoop is, I did my researchâa lot of research! There are not many reviews, on TIMEMORE and even less for the Chestnut X Lite. And though this is my first manual grinder, by no means am I a novice when it comes to coffee. Iâve been blessed to have enjoyed some of the finer beans that one can experience in life. Not wanting to spend, starting at $500 to $1000+ for a good electric burr grinder, not wanting to spend $300 or more for a possible notice in overall coffee experience of a hand grinder, not wanting a cheap one either, no point. This Chestnut X Lite, is so much more, so much better than what I expected! Though I will, and do enjoy good medium roast coffee, for the most part, the good stuff is on the lighter side. And I prepare coffee differently to the usual filter or French Press. After consuming coffee of the various preparation methods used throughout the world, simply, having enjoyed coffee and the way itâs prepared in that country, has led me to a method that is pleasurable, brings out all notes, flavor â you name it. Itâs similar to the cupping method. Simply, the coffee beans are ground just fine enough to be able to settle down to the bottom of the cup. My first cup of coffee using the Chestnut X Lite was from Bird Rock Coffee Roaster. A Light Roast, Washed, Colombian Pink Bourbon that has a Coffee Review of 95 points. The result â Iâm in love with coffee again! Itâs that good, and it made that much of a difference!The Good:1) High Quality Manufacturing with High Quality Material; Uniformed Particle Size â the beans are ground to near perfection.2) The ability to grind a light roast coffee faster then an electric grinder.3) And best of all, the overall result of the ground coffee which produces a cup of coffee so sublime that folks who canât tell a difference, are for the first time, awoken to the essence of what is coffee, and at its best!The Bad:1) small capacity2) hard, light roast beans at a fine setting catch a little â not much of an issue as you just keep grinding. 3) a touch of static â not too much.Overall:This is a high-end, premium burr grinder that produces an exquisite end result for a perfect cup of coffee â itâs really, that good!

Excellent coffee and build quality
This has the same burr as the original flagship Timemore grinder, and the build quality is excellent. No other company provides the full function of their top-of-the-line grinder in such an inexpensive option.This grinder has one of the most precise grind size distributions available. In most grinders, including more expensive ones, the coffee comes out at a range of sizes, from powder to chunks. This distribution of sizes can muddy the flavor or cause bitterness.This grinder produces grounds with far less powder and chunks. This reduces the muddiness and chance for bitterness (coming from too much powdery fine grounds). You taste more of the complex flavors of the beans.If you are interested in enjoying the differences among the variety of beans you might try, this grinder will help significantly.The only caveat is that if you like a dark roast with a heavy body to the coffee and one, strong flavor (e.g., Starbucks type coffee) then a grinder with a less precise size distribution might better suite you. Such grinders tend to create a round, one-flavor, heavier cup of coffee. To each his own.

Before X Lite I used another grinder Timemore Chestnut C2. X Lite is more expensive and heavier, but it gives a good and clear grind. Grind indicator is very useful. For v60 or french press – ideal
